Congress has asked the National Park Service to use the Sesquicentennial of Lincoln's departure from Springfield and Inaugural trip to Washington as the official kickoff for the Civil War Sesquicentennial.

The Lincoln Inaugural Sesquicentennial Committee will be posting a website soon with all the events and regular updates. There will be a link here to that official site.

There are lots of exciting plans in the works.
